Dandelion Seeds

No Donations, Thanks.
Here's Why.

I’ve chosen not to accept donations for this campaign (I made the same choice when running for Lombard Trustee years ago), because protecting our forest preserves should never be influenced by fundraising, special interests, or political pressure. Most agree that public land belongs to the people and not to donors, not to machines, and not to anyone trying to buy access or influence.

Instead of contributing to my campaign, I encourage anyone who’s able to support local food pantries, shelters and nature and community organizations that make a real difference every day.

Because of this choice, you may see fewer yard signs, no glossy postcards in your mailbox, and a campaign that focuses more on people than paper. And that’s perfectly fine with me. I’d rather run a campaign built on conversations (which, beware, will be entirely too long!) and shared values than one built on piles of mailers. I happen to prefer trees in their natural state so win/win.

This is a "grassroots" effort in the truest sense.

Thanks!

Dana
